Hemlock the VPS lives in NY and holds an instance of yunohost.

You can talk about Hemlocks specifications and functions here:

To Do

  • Email isn’t working for the new video hosting service.
  • I need to write blog posts so people know what all this stuff is and how to use it.
  • Update menus on all activitypub sites
  • Implement local federation of all my apps
  • Start building a knowledgebase and interlinked articles

Hopefully I can manage another update in the next month or so 🙂

State of the Root

A Season for All Things

Over the last week I brought about 20 different services online and was nearing my goal with 3 perfectly divided servers managing everything.

I pushed too far. I flew too close to the sun. I overloaded one server, and quickly moved stuff onto another, crashing it too.

Going forward I’m going to restructure everything to divide resource consumption a bit more evenly, and I’ll have to sacrifice/replace some things. All in all, root is still here. Yes some things are offline and I’m rearranging the site navigation with categories and tags.

Root lost a few branches that were weak, but they will grow back stronger.
